Reverend Angush Alexander Wade

Reverend Angush Alexander Wade, 90, of the Eastwood Community, West End, North Carolina, died Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Tara Plantation Assisted Living, in Carthage, NC.

Angush retired from the US Army after serving over twenty-two years.  While enlisted, he worked as a helicopter tech inspector and he was an aircraft maintenance foreman. Traveling while serving in the Army was something Alexander always cherished. After settling down from his military travels, he was employed with the United States Postal Service, from which he also retired.

Prior to moving back to Moore County, to enjoy his retirement with his beloved sister, Ethel Mae Wade Graham, Alexander resided in Louisville, Kentucky.  In Louisville, he served as the pastor of Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church for over thirty years.  During his retirement years, he joined Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in the Taylortown Municipality, under the leadership of Reverend Charles Nabors.  He attended Galilee faithfully until his health declined, which led to his placement in an assisted living facility.

Those left with fond memories of Alexander are his sister, Ethel Mae Wade Graham; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

In addition to his late parents, Flora and Clint Wade, Alexander was also preceded in death by his two brothers and two sisters.
