Mrs. Peggy Joyce Gibson, age 82, of Aberdeen, North Carolina, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at her residence.  She was a faithful member of First Missionary Baptist Church. With a kind heart and loving spirit, she would often visit the “Sick and Shut-in.” She enjoyed cooking, memorable conversations, and quality time with her family. Sharing stories with loved ones and friends not only made her smile, but put smiles on the faces of everyone she encountered.

Those left to cherish many fond memories of Peggy are, her daughter, Annette; son-in-law, Carlton Shaw; two grandchildren, Stacy Wright and Antonio Wright; two great-grandchildren, Xavier Wright and Aubrey Wright; nieces and nephews, Paula Wright, Marcenia Wright, Beverly Black, Tonya Black, ElRoy Black, Lisa Wright, Jeffery Wright, Debbie Williams, Pamela Wright, Lamont Wright, and Kenneth Wright; a host of cousins, other relatives, and many, many friends. 

In addition to her late husband and her late parents, Peggy was also preceded in death by her niece, Cynthia Black, and nephew, Anthony Wright.
