Laura Etta McLaughlin Frye Breeden was born July 3, 1944, in Moore County, North Carolina, to the late Helen and Rufus McLaughlin.

During her early years of life, Laura’s family made their home in the Eastwood Community, where she grew up.  Many years ago, Laura was a member of St. Matthews Freewill Baptist Church. She was a retiree from the food service department of the Moore County Schools system, and she worked at St. Joseph Hospital in the dietary department.

Family and friends knew Laura as “Pammy”.  She enjoyed spending her leisure time shopping, camping, fishing, and sharing her love with her family.

Those left with many fond memories of Laura are, her five children, Rufus McLaughlin, Rodney Frye (Mary), Robin Frye (Sonia), Lee Daniel Frye, Jr. (Leitha), and Darris Frye; one sister, Thelma Crutchfield; seven grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
