Mr. William Treadwell, Jr., 72, of Southern Pines, North Carolina, died Friday, August 27, 2021, at the FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

Our husband, father, brother, uncle, and cousin, William Treadwell, Jr., was born on the twenty-fourth day of October 1948, in Bladen County, North Carolina, to the late William and Lillie Mae Treadwell Sr., who were natives of Garland, North Carolina.  In 1967, William graduated from Bladen County High School in Elizabethtown, North Carolina. Following high school, he served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He continued his education and received his Bachelor of Science Degree from A & T State University in Social Services in 1974. He was employed as a Behavior Specialist at Samarkand Manor in Eagle Springs, North Carolina. He later joined Spring Lake Memorial Baptist Church and was a faithful member of the Usher Board.

Those left with fond memories of William to be forever cherished are his loving wife of forty-three years, Judy; his son, Michael; three sisters, Vernell and Linda Treadwell of New York, and Shirley Lee (Gene) of Charlottesville, Virginia; two brothers, Edward Treadwell (Cheryl) of Greenville, North Carolina and Alton Treadwell of New York; three nephews, Daren, Eldon and Glen Lee; one grandnephew, Boaz Lee; and a host of  other relatives and friends.
