Elder James Hussey
Elder James Edward Hussey was born December 14, 1950, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Mable and James Hussey. He departed this life on August 9, 2020.
After completing his high school years, James attended Sandhills Community College for two years. His love of God and desire to spread God’s word, led him to seek more knowledge in the field of Ministry, taking him to the aspiration of becoming an Elder. His role as an Elder helped and encouraged others at his home church, St. Peter’s Deliverance Church Of God.
James’ free time was spent using his outstanding mechanical skills working on old cars, something he genuinely enjoyed. Some of James’ hobbies included fishing, hunting, and just enjoying the beauty of being outside. For many years, he was an independent roofing contractor in Aberdeen, North Carolina.
Left with fond memories of James are his sister, Pauline Walker of Southern Pines, North Carolina; his six children, Zyon Lofton of Southern Pines, Diedre, Dondi, Tamika, and Enjoli Fogle, all of Brooklyn, New York, and Takisha Harley of Georgia; longtime companion, Jackie Nealy of Southern Pines; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; best friend, Greg Ritter; and many other friends and other relatives.
