
Mr. Alexander London
Alexander London was born May 21, 1950, to the late Catherine Ross and David Perkins, Sr., in Society Hill, South Carolina. He departed this life Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at FirstHealth/Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
Lovingly known as “Big Brother” by his siblings, Alex was truly a family-centered gentleman that stayed in touch with his family, and his daughter, Alexia, who was the highlight of his life.
Growing up in West End, Alex attended Vineland Elementary School and he graduated from Pinckney High School, and later attended Mt. Olive College. Shooting pool gained Alex the nickname, “Pool Shark”. He was very skilled at handling a pool stick.
In 1979, Alex married Gail London and they were blessed with one child, Alexia.
Following his military career, he was employed by the North Carolina Department Of Public Safety in McCain, North Carolina, from which he also retired.
Those left with fond memories of Alex are, his Daughter, Alexia London of Charlotte, NC; five brothers, Jerome (Eva), Raymond (Marnee), and Bruce, all of West End, NC, David Jr. of Providence, RI, and James (Bonnette) and Melvin, both of Darlington, SC; three sisters, Deborah of Raeford, NC, Mae of Aberdeen, NC, and Mary of Darlington; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
